Experience Korea

Jeju Island is a popular tourist destination in Korea, known for its serene natural beauty. However, for those seeking more lively attractions, options like guest houses hosting nightly parties or hiking Hanra Mountain are available. Nevertheless, the island’s main draws remain its waterfalls, flowers, and reed fields.

Cyberpunk world

My friend suggested that we try driving a cart in a park. While I was interested, we weren’t sure if it would be different from the luge we tried before. We hesitated about buying tickets, but once we arrived at 9.81 Park, we realized it offered a completely different experience from the moment we entered.

“It felt like stepping into a Cyberpunk world!” Many of us uttered this phrase as we explored the park’s theme. Even though there were ticketing kiosks, they guided Koreans to install their app. Offering various options beyond car racing, such as Survival and a 360-degree swing, we ultimately opted for the carts due to time constraints.

RF wrist band

Three of us opted for course 2, classified as Advanced, while the other couples chose the 3X Race, allowing them to try 2 or 3 different courses for 3 races. The park operated in three sections per hour and asked us to select our preferred time. Fortunately, despite the presence of many school trip children, we managed to obtain tickets. As filming while driving was not permitted for safety reasons, they offered edited videos to customers who installed their app. We found this very convenient, as we could watch all the safety videos through the app. Our tickets were wrapped around our wrists, and we needed to tag the RF chip at the gate to enter.

Background of Circuit

The layout of the lanes is quite logical and systematic. Despite the presence of 200 school children, we didn’t have to wait too long. The landscape while we waited our turn on the stairs didn’t seem very realistic; a few huge windmills were spinning to generate electricity over the hill covered with grass and flowers. Only the track we were waiting for appeared real. The staff guided each of us gently. However, I soon realized that the cart didn’t have an accelerator, which left me a little disappointed, but the brakes were sufficient.

Use 9.81 apps

I wondered about the way to take pictures of us; they set up a GoPro on each cart. They recorded all the driving and made a fancy video for us. They also offered a full video that captured my lap time, sparking a little competition among us. I came in second place. The ticket for one race includes a ticket for one Sports Lab activity. The Sports Lab offers various activities such as baseball, horse riding, and motion games, but I chose archery. It was also interesting, but I would like to try the real thing.

We were hungry! If we had arrived here 30 minutes earlier, we could have had dinner. But all the restaurants were closed, so there was no option. Instead, we took photos in the booth with futuristic items. However, the output reminded us of a music video from the 2000s, with a millennium style like TLC’s “No Scrubs.” Despite this, all of us were satisfied with the race.
