Yes, South Korea is known as the Republic of Coffee Shops. According to a report from 2023, approximately 100,000 coffee shops exist in South Korea. While there are various brands, the top 10 brands dominate Korean tastes. Since Starbucks Korea obtained its license in 2021, it has expanded its branches to every corner of the country, becoming the most numerous chain in the coffee business field.

It appears that the coffee business in Korea is dominated by these major brands. However, for coffee lovers who seek a unique experience beyond branded coffee, discovering their own favorite café by traveling across South Korea is a common pursuit. In this category, I aim to introduce private cafés in your neighborhood. Posts will be irregular but more frequent than other topics.
