My little coffee shop-02
If there’s Gyeongnidan-gil in Seoul, Haeridangil is here in Busan.
Gyeongnidan is named after The Armed Forces Financial management Corps in Korean. This alley is located near Gyeongnidan, a neighborhood of Itaewon street. Due to Itaewon’s reputation as an international street in Korea, Gyeongnidan-gil naturally became an international street for hipsters. This street lost its fame due to gentrification, but people still call it “~~ridan-gil” if the old street has some unique shops for hipsters. Haeridan-gil is a similar case, located in Haeundae, the most famous beach in Busan, where people also refer to it as Haeridan-gil.

Concierge cafe
I discovered a CONCIERGE in the heart of Haeridan-gil. It was nestled on the second floor of an old residential building. Initially unsure of the address, I was greeted by an inviting old black wooden door.

Seasonal fruit dessert.
Right in front of the door, I noticed a display of cakes made with seasonal fruits, as advertised on their social media. My choice was the fig earl grey tiramisu, renowned for autumn. Relieved it wasn’t sold out, I then struggled with another decision. Though hesitant about sweet drinks, I was drawn to the “Rose the Noir,” a type of milk tea. Inquiring about its sweetness, the staff mentioned it was one of their sweetest beverages. Opting for balance, I settled on an Americano.

High quality service
Oh, yes! there it was – Concierge. As I admired the interior, my dessert arrived. The staff kindly offered a taste of Rose the Noir. Sweet as she was. The fig earl grey tiramisu was delightful but on the sweeter side. It paired nicely with the bitterness of the Americano but not so much with the Rose the Noir. The warmth of the staff added an extra touch of sweetness to my experience.
As their name suggests, Deokmi Concierge changes their desserts according to the season. You may not find the same tiramisu each time, but they always offer an alternative. While the prices are a bit high, I recommend it to those who want high-quality desserts that look and taste like those from a hotel but at half the price. Be sure to check their website for newly uploaded desserts before visiting.
