My little coffee shop-04
It’s a Kook-Rule(standard practice) among Korean hikers to drink some makgeoli (rice wine) after climbing. But if you’re not a big fan of alcohol and want to rest in a cozy place, Dobongsan coffee will be one of the alternative selections.

How do I know here
I got to know the owner through the free brewing coffee program. He taught us about various types of coffee beans and advised us to refine our own tastes because there’s no right way to brew coffee. It was a quite impressive moment for me due to their passion for coffee. Soon I wondered where their cafe was located, and I noticed that it wasn’t far from my home.
First impression
Initially, I thought there wouldn’t be a fancy interior like in usual cafes, but I was wrong. The café has two areas. One side is similar to others, designed like a cozy auditorium. A piano is placed on one side, and other tables and chairs face the piano. There wasn’t event the day I visited, the customers sitting there looked relaxed.

Technically, this coffee shop is a roasters cafe. The roastery machine will capture your eyes once you enter the shop. A hand drip will cost about 3,500 won, and they have a variety of coffee and teas. I usually drink hand-drip or Americano, but their specialty is Coconut coffee. For non-caffeine drinkers, they offer fresh fruit juice and Patbingsu (Red bean topped Ice flakes). They also sell desserts like Tiramisu or scones, but I don’t recommend trying the Tiramisu here. Furthermore, it tends to sell out quickly if you’re late.
Dobongsan Coffee is situated on the restaurant street between Dobongsan Metro Station and the entrance of the Dobongsan trail. It occupies the entire first floor of a residential building, so don’t be surprised if some cars are parked in front of the cafe.
